Panel discussion "CSOs and Local Development Policies in the European Integration Process"

Centre for European Integrations of Belgrade Open School held a panel discussion on the topic "CSOs and Local Development Policies in the European Integration Process" as part of the CSO fair "Networking Energy" which was on Nikola Pasic Square, June 2nd-3rd 2011.

 

European integration of Serbia is a multilayered process of a deep political, economic, legal and social transformation of the community we live in. What position do CSOs occupy in this process? How to cope with challenges and simultaneously maintain the key role in this process? How to achieve  financial sustainability for CSO activities? In what way sustainable communication and cooperation with public authorities can be achieved? How to make a functional CSO network in Serbia?

 

Panelists Natasa Savic Janjic, Section for Communications and Training, European Integration Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and Vladimir M. Pavlovic, Centre for European Integrations of Belgrade Open School, debated these, and many other, questions with the attendants, civil sector partners, representatives of governemnt institutions, local government representatives, donor communities and media.
