First Regional Consultative Workshop in Ub

First Regional Consultative Workshop was held on December 2nd 2011 in Ub within the project The New Employment Policy - obstacles and perspectives.


The project is being implemented by the Centre for European Integration of the Belgrade Open School in partnership with the Fridirh Ebert Foundation, the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of the Serbian government and local government Ub, Kraljevo and Belgrade.


The project was consisted of three one-day regional workshops in order to present the basics of the new employment policies at the local level to all actors (representatives of local governments, Civil Society Organizations, Branches of National Employment Service of the Republic of Serbia and business sectors) in Serbia.


Representatives from the regional authorities, neighboring local authorities, business sector and civil society organizations (CSOs) active in the region were involved in Consultative workshop.


Consultative workshop consisted of introductory presentations on the topic:
- National Employment Strategy for 2011-2020, Dragica Ivanović, Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Government of the Republic of Serbia
- Local Action Plans for Employment, Dušanka Milosevic, an independent expert
- Employment Policy of the Republic of Serbia and the EU Pre-Accession funds, Jelena Vasic, Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Government of the Republic of Serbia


Second part of the consultative workshop was consisted of SWOT analysis workshop where participants analyzed the capacity of the local stakeholders for the implementation of EU standards in the field of employment.
