Held a training program in the capacity building for civil society organizations

Training for civil society organizations in the project Know how to act, was held on 24th – 28th September at the Hotel Radan Prolom Banja(SPA).

A five-day training improved the knowledge and skills of civil society organizations for their active participation in public policy, advocacy of policy in order to actively participate in planning and monitoring the use of public funds for the environment.

The training was attended by 22 representatives of civil society organizations from Nisavski, Toplički, Pirotski, Jablanicki and Pcinjski districts working in the field of environmental protection.

Through a combination of knowledge and skills, the training participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the legal framework and obligations of the Republic of Serbia in the process of joining the European Union in the field of environmental policy. Also, the participants were presented the greatest challenges that Serbia is facing whit  when it comes to energy policy and climate change. The other two days were devoted to strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations for the successful implementation of advocacy campaigns, with special focus on environmental policy, and the last day was reserved for the positive experience from  the region to the participants reported Jankovska Marija, representative of Green Center from Macedonia.
