Discussion forums organized within the project "Local communities in the process of European integration - towards a sustainable model of civil participation in environment policy-making "

Within the project "Local communities in the process of European integration - towards a sustainable model of civil participation in policy-making environment" there has been organised two discussion forum on October 23th in Priboj and November 8th in Kragujevac.

Through discussion forums were processed different views and approaches to the problem of citizen participation in environment policy-making, analyze and adapt common attitudes and amounted concrete proposals that will be introduced in the public debate. Bearing in mind that the environment policy in the short and long term directly affects the lives of citizens and created the space for their motivation and involvement in the decision-making process. Through a consultative dialogue on the discussion forum has aim to encourage civil participation that involves association of civil society and the public with specific expert community, alignment of interests, but also to raise awareness and direct to concrete solutions in order to participate constructively citizens contribute to effective implementation of environmental policy.
