The Meeting of working group “Environment” was held


Meeting of National Convent on EU working group “Environment” on “Future of Energy Policy in Serbia” issue was held in Centre for Culture in Lazarevac, on 23rd of November 2012, as an integral part of “Know How to Act” project which is being implemented by European Movement in Serbia in cooperation with Belgrade Open School, Centre for Civil Society Development “PROTECTA” and “UNECOOP” organization, with support of Royal Embassy of Norway in Belgrade. Main goal of this Project is to improve and to increase civil society participation in making decision process on local level in environmental protection area within European integration process.

Vladan Zdravković, state secretary for environment in Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection of Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Kovačević, independent consultant, Nataša Đereg, behalf of “Centre for ecology and sustainable development” (CEKOR) association, Slađana Jevremović, vice president of Energy efficiency Committee of Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, Ivana Radojković, behalf of the “BioGreen Energy” company, Vladimir M. Pavlović, coordinator of Centre for European Integration of Belgrade Open School and Aleksandar Simić, behalf of Environmental protection and improvement sector of “MB Kolubara” have talked about existing and upcoming energy sector strategies in Serbia, with particular emphasis on involvement of experts, but also broader public, as well in creating policies in this sector. Aleksandar Macura was working group internal expert and Ivan Knežević, general secretary deputy of European Movement in Serbia was meeting moderator.
