Pilot interviews within project “Development for Real: Evaluating Development Impact and Performances of Regional Development Agencies in Serbia” have been conducted

In order to design and plan research which is going to be conducted within “Development for Real: Evaluating Development Impact and Performances of Regional Development Agencies in Serbia” project, the members of Belgrade Open School Centre for European integration professional team, Slobodan Ocokoljic and Vanja Dolapcev, have conducted pilot interviews with their external associates and stakeholders.

The interviews have been conducted with Dragisa Mijacic, director of Institute for Territorial Economic Development (www.lokalnirazvoj.org/en) and representatives of Regional development agency “Zlatibor” (www.rrazlatibor.co.rs/english), Agency director, Slavko Lukic and senior consultant for environment, Milos Radojevic.

During the interview with Dragisa Mijacic, useful knowledge on characteristics of accredited regional development agencies in Republic of Serbia was acquired. Data on functioning, performances and challenges one regional development agency in Republic of Serbia is facing with were given during the interview with the representatives of Regional development agency “Zlatibor”. Acquired knowledge will be used for planning a research, particularly on creation of research sample and designing questionnaires and interviews.

In such way the good cooperation between representatives of Institute for Territorial Economic Development from Belgrade and representatives of Regional development agency “Zlatibor” from Uzice was established, as well.

In following period the field research is going to be conducted via deep and structured interviews with stakeholders regarding their perception on performances of regional development agencies.
