Consultative Workshop and Discussion Forum “Approaching Europe” has been implemented

On Thursday, 31st of October 2013 Centre for European Integration of Belgrade Open School has implemented a consultative workshop and discussion forum “Approaching Europe” („Budi u toku“), as a final activity on “Approaching Europe – Contribution of Civil Society Organizations for Promotion of European Values in Belgrade” project. Project is supported by Agency for European Integration and Cooperation with Associations of Civil Society.

The participants of consultative workshop and discussion forum were dealing with issue of improving cooperation between civil society organizations and institutions of City of Belgrade. As a good example for including stakeholders in process of creating local policies, the decision-making model for establishing local councils for environmental protection and improvement has been presented, as well.

Within discussion forum, results of “Approaching Europe” project consultative workshops have been presented. Jointly with Agency for European Integration and Cooperation with Civil Society of City of Belgrade Deputy Director, Goran Sehovic, recommendations and mechanisms for inclusion of civil society organizations in defining priorities of future grant calls of Agency have been created.

On this activity, certificates have been awarded to participants of educational program “Recognize, Get Involved, Act” implemented as a part of Project activities.
