Belgrade Open School invited to participate on United Nations Climate Change Conference in Warsaw

From 11th to 22nd of November 2013, 19th annual session of United Nations Climate Change Conference will be held in Warsaw, Republic of Poland. Beside official governments, representatives of non-governmental organizations, international organizations and academia from all around the world will be participating at Conference, as well.

The only association coming from the territory of Former Yugoslavia which will take participation on this year’s Conference is Belgrade Open School. Belgrade Open School will participate on Conference as an observer. Mirko Popovic, Centre for European Integration coordinator, will be participating Conference as a representative of Belgrade Open School.

United Nations Climate Change Conference is the biggest meeting of its kind in the world. It gathers almost every United Nations member state. This Conference was established as a result of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change which came into effect in 1994. First convention of this kind was organized in 1995 in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany, and the last Conference was organized last year in Doha, State of Qatar. Main objective of this Conference is to open a discussion among the signatory parties and other stakeholders and to made best possible solutions in dealing with urgent environmental issues in the world.
