Environmental Policy and European Integration Process of Serbia

Belgrade Open School and Konrad Adenauer Foundation have organized roundtable with representatives of media named “Environmental Policy and European Integration Process of Serbia” on Wednesday, 27th of November 2013, in restaurant “Kalemegdanska terasa” in Belgrade.

As speakers, following persons have participated on this event, Henri Bohnet, Head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation office in Belgrade for Serbia and Montenegro, Milica Vojic Markovic, Chairperson of Environmental Protection Committee of National Assembly of Republic of Serbia and Miroslav Tadic, Chief of the European Integration Department of Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection of Republic of Serbia’s Government. As a moderator, Vladimir Pavlovic, Coordinator of Centre for European Integration of Belgrade Open School have participated this event.

This event was organized as an informal talk with representatives of media. During roundtable, following issues were tackled: current situation in Republic of Serbia regarding environmental policy, upcoming accession negotiations with European Union, content of negotiation chapter 27, “Environment”, duties Republic of Serbia should fulfill in this area, as well as role of media and general public in making process transparent and efficient.

Following event within “Environmental Policy and European Integration Process of Serbia” project will be organized on Tuesday, 10th of December 2013 in Novi Sad.
