The Conference “Let’s Speak about Negotiations – Active and Informed Citizens or just an Observers of Negotiation Process of Serbian Acessing to the EU” was held
Centre for European Integration (CEI) of Belgrade Open School (BOS) with the support of Foundation for an Open Society Serbia has organized conference “Let’s Speak about Negotiations – Active and Informed Citizens or just an Observers of Negotiation Process of Serbian Accessing to the EU” on 9th of June 2014 in Belgrade.
At the conference Declaration on Joint Civil Society Platform for Monitoring Negotiation Process on Serbian Accession to the EU was presented as a basis for acting of civil society and other stakeholders in Serbian negotiation process on accessing European Union (EU), regardless of their way of organization and activities in this context.
The conference was aiming to start the discussion on significance of civil society in Serbian negotiation process on accessing EU, on necessary conditions for active monitoring of process by civil society, as well as on role of National Assembly of Republic of Serbia in this process. The role of the parliament is particularly important in order to achieve transparency of process.
The conference was hosted by following speakers: Aleksandar Senic, President of European Integration Committee of National Assembly of Republic of Serbia, Srdjan Djurovic from Foundation for an Open Society Serbia, Danijela Bozovic and Jelena Babic from Centre for European Integration of Belgrade Open School.
