The training within “ReForce” project was held in Nis

Centre for European Integration of Belgrade Open School and Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities have organized training for representatives of civil society and local self-government units from South Eastern Serbia on “Partnership of public and civil sector in creating local development policies” topic. The training was held from 18th to 20th of June 2014 in City of Nis.

During this training representatives of civil society organizations and local self-government units were introduced with the mechanism for improving startegic planning on local level and managing transparent and responsible public policy through joint partnership of civic and public sector. Training participants were also introduced with new knowledge and skills for improving grant procedures for associations, improving transparency and responsibility of public administartion in managing local self-government units funds. Following persons were lecturing on this training: Nikola Tarbuk from Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, Mladen Jovanovic form National Coalition for Decentralization and Mirko Popovic and Vladimir Pavlovic from Belgrade Open School.

In the future timeline, two more trainings on this topic were planned that will take place in Raska and Zlatibor district in autumn.

Training was held within “ReForce – Reinforcing the Role of Civil Society Organizations in Community Development and Public Administration Reform” project which is being implemented with the support of Delegation of European Union in Republic of Serbia within “Civil Society Facility 2012” programme and Office for Cooperation with the Civil Society of Government of Republic of Serbia
