Consultative Meeting on Small Grant Support Programme for Associations was held in Raska
On 2nd September 2014, in Raska, consultative meeting has been held with representatives of civil society organisations and local self-government units. The consultative meeting was held within Small Grant Support Programme for Associations which is being implemented through “ReForce – Reinforcing the Role of Civil Society Organisations in Community Development and Public Administration Reform” project.
The consultative meeting was attended by 18 representatives of civil society organisations, local self-government units and media.
The attendees were addressed by Nenad Ostracanin, head of Local Economic Development Service of Municipality of Raska, and Jelena Mihajlovic from Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM). Following that, Mirko Popovic from Centre for European Integration of Belgrade Open School has presented and informed the attendees on within Small Grant Support Programme for Associations.
The representatives of civil society organisations and local self-government units were informed about service “Local Development Tool Kit” web portal which gives the necessary instructions and instruments for implementing project activities in local communities and for establishing mutual cooperation. Afterwards, attendees were introduced with “Support to the Institutionalized Dialogue of Civil Society and Public Administration” public advocacy initiative aiming to develop effective dialogue for strengthening the role of civil society in developing local community. In this regard, they were also informed about consultations sessions on planning and creating budget for 2015 which will be organized by local self-government units, while the CSO representatives have been invited to take part at them. The attendees were then introduced with public call for awarding grants for associations in sustainable development within Small Grant Support Programme for Associations. They were also introduced with programme objectives and criteria.
Consultative meeting was held within “ReForce – Reinforcing the Role of Civil Society Organisations in Community Development and Public Administration Reform” project which is being implemented with support of Delegation of the European Union in Serbia within “Civil Society Facility 2012” programme and Office for Cooperation with Civil Society of the Government of Republic of Serbia.
