"Europe in Your Pocket" presented at the Belgrade Book Fair
In the framework of the Belgrade 2014 Book Fair, on 29th of October 2014, Android application Europe in Your Pocket was presented at the EU Info Center booth. Application was designed and launched as a part of the project “Europe in Your Pocket – Improving Youth Informing on European Union and European Integration Process”, which is conducted by Belgrade Open School and with the support of the European Integration Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Content of the application, together with the content and aims of the project itself, were presented by Danijela Bozovic and Tamara Brankovic in front of the Belgrade Open School. Presentation was based on introducing the public, high school students, students, media representatives and others, with all categories of the Europe in Your Pocket. The focus of the presentation was on the usefulness of the content that application offers, while it was highlighted that youth from now on have the opportunity to find all information on how to enroll a study programme, travel, work, volunteer or apply for funding with their projects in the European Union.
Throughout the application, the project “Europe in Your Pocket – Improving Youth Informing on European Union and European Integration Process” has an objective to raise the level of awareness and understanding of citizens on European Union and Serbian accession process. This information will be delivered in interesting, simple and innovative way in order to raise the quality and accessibility to the online content on EU and Serbian EU accession process.
Besides creating the new form of informing and communicating on the European Union, the promotional campaign itself will be based on innovative and online methods of communication, which allows two-sided communication to their users. Therefore, in October and November 2014 will be organized two Twitter chats and one Tweet-Up Session, which will simultaneously take place on squares of 5 cities in Serbia.
