EU Negotiation Process – From Opening the Negotiations to Full–Fledge Membership of the European Union

Centre for European Integration of the Belgrade Open School, in cooperation with the Serbian European Integration Office continued with implementation of European Educational Program for Public Administration Officials. It is realized through three Educational Modules:

  • Law and Procedures of the EU;
  • EU Sector Policies;
  • Harmonization of the Legal System of Serbia with the EU Legislation.

Since 2010, Educational Module Law and Procedures of the EU was renamed in Basics of the Law and Political system of the European Union.

This year European Educational Program for Public Administration Officials is supplemented with new Educational Module: EU Negotiation Process – From Opening the Negotiations to Full–Fledge Membership of the European Union.

The aim of this Educational Module is to strengthen the capacity of public administration at the central level for the future challenges of the process of Serbia's accession to the EU, and thus contribute to the ongoing reform and deepen understanding of the process of European integration.

During two days of interactive lectures, workshops and debates program aims to transfer the experiences of the last states that closed negotiations - Croatia.
First Educational Program devoted to the negotiation of Chapter 23 - Judiciary and fundamental rights and also its subjects concerning fundamental rights, fighting corruption and judicial reform.

The seminar were held in December 2012 in the Office for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia.
