On December 16^th, in Belgrade Open School held a one-day training for practitioners of the companies involved in the project “PRAKSAM – Introducing the youth to the world of work through internship placements”. The aim of the training was to empower interns for the challenges that  are awaiting them during practice and career, and obtaining a set of instructions, advice and rules concerning career management, communication, teamwork and work ethic.

On December 13^th, Belgrade Open School organized a one-day training within the project “PRAKSAM – Introducing the youth to the world of work through internship placements”, intended for the representatives of all the companies involved in the project, who were delegated the roles of mentors.

On Tuesday, December 6^th, 2016, National Center of Euroguidance Network in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the fourth time organized a national Euroguidance conference “Career guidance and counseling in the Republic of Serbia". On this occasion, prizes and awards within the First National Euroguidance competition examples of good practice in the field of career guidance and counseling were awarded.

Belgrade Open School organised a conference "National Annual Conference on Career Guidance and Counseling", fourth year in a row, which is accredited by The Institute for Advancing Education and Upbringing of the Republic of Serbia. The conference was organised on 23^th of November 2016 at The Hotel Palace, and brought together more than 100 teachers from all over Serbia.

With regard to promotion and introduction of stakeholders and public with European pact for youth in Serbia, the Belgrade Open School (BOS) together with its partner Smart kolektiv, and with support of Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit (SIPRU), organized conference named “Pact for Youth” which took place on the 19^th September, 2016 in the Belgrade Youth Center.

The Western Balkans youth Work(s)” (WEBWORK) project consortium held its first meeting from the 26^th to the 28^th of July, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. With this meeting the project linked to the problem of youth unemployment in the Western Balkans formally begun.

On 13th June, Belgrade Open School, in partner cooperation with Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and Solidar Suisse/Swiss Labour Assistance (SLA) – Office in Serbia, organized the second Fair of school teams for career guidance and counseling. The fair was held in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and gathered the 20 best school teams for career guidance from all over the Serbia, as well as representatives from other secondary schools and other institutions and organizations, in order to share experiences with each other and thereby improve its work in this area.

Belgrade Open School took a part in Conference on the Roma employment which was held  in Mixer House on May 31st 2016. Companies which got resources from European support for Roma Inclusion project had chance to present their work among conference. Beside this, participants also had opportunity to visit stand of the Belgrade Open School.  

The Open Door day was held on Monday, April 25^th in ‘Sveti Ahilije’ secondary school in Arilje. On that occasion, teachers and the team of Belgrade open school were introducing the Clothing designer educational profile to the 8^th grade elementary school students, within promotional campaign of promising educational profiles. Through promotional and educational materials featuring the profile, as well as through materials about career guidance and counselling, the 8^th-graders were introduced with detailed description of the profile, textile industry, as well as perspectives for further career development.

As part of the project MUSTRA IV - Model of harmonizing the education system with the labour market – Promotion of promising educational profiles in secondary schools, which aims to promote promising educational profiles in secondary schools in Rasinski and Zlatibor region, the team of Belgrade open school was invited to the Secondary Schools Fair that took place in Hala sportova in Kruševac.
